Premier Exhibitions filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court a third motion to extend the exclusive period during which the Company can file a Chapter 11 plan and solicit acceptances thereof through and including May 10, 2017 and July 9, 2017, respectively.
The motion explains, “Since the Second Extension Order, the Debtors have been negotiating what it hopes to be a consensual plan with both of the Committees, and the Debtors and Committees all believe that an additional 30-day extension is necessary and appropriate while they continue to work towards a consensual plan. In addition to productive plan negotiations, the Debtors have filed objections to the largest claims in the case, requested and pursued entry of a default judgment against the Republic of France in the adversary proceeding filed against it, and negotiated the terms of DIP financing, for which the Debtor anticipate they will be filing a motion to approve such financing in the near future.”
