University of Puerto Rico Retirement System Trust filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court a motion requesting appointment of an additional committee of government employees and active pension plan participants or, in the alternative, for the reconstitution of the official retiree committee.
The motion explains, “On behalf of all Trust participants, particularly its 10,432 active members not currently represented by the Retiree Committee, the Trust respectfully requests that the Court order the appointment of an additional committee of active government employees and pension plan participants (an ‘Employee Committee’), which should include, among others, at least one Active Trust Participant. In the alternative, the Trust respectfully requests that the Court order the reconstitution of the Retiree Committee in order to exclude any Retired Trust Participants and include at least one Active Trust Participant.”
