Cotter Tower Files Chapter 11

Privately-held Cotter Tower – Oklahoma, L.P. (Cotter Tower) filed for Chapter 11 protection with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of Texas, case number 17-52844. Cotter Tower is located in San Antonio, Texas. The Company is currently led by Marcus P. Rogers as Acting President, and is represented in bankruptcy proceedings by H. Anthony Hervol, Esq.

Cotter Tower was owned by James Franklin Cotter, who died last January at the age of 83. According to industry insiders, legal battles ensued between his heirs over control of the former Liberty Bank Tower, which was originally purchased in 2004 by James Cotter for $27 million.

According to documents filed with the Court, Cotter Tower indicates estimated both assets and liabilities between $10 to $50 million.
