Medizone International filed for Chapter 7 protection with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the District of Nevada, case number 18-12662. The Company, which manufactures the AsepticSure® system, a disinfectant technology, is represented by Matthew C. Zirzow of Larson Zirzow & Kaplan. The Chapter 7 petition follows closely on the Company’s April 20, 2018 announcement that certain creditors of the Company commenced an involuntary bankruptcy proceeding under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code against the Company. In its Petition, Medizone notes approximately $4 million of liabilities and approximately $17 million of assets, those assets are comprised principally of net-operating losses (approximately $14 million).
