May 13, 2015 – Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the Factory 2-U Stores, Inc. Bankruptcy Estate in May 2015. On July 13, 2004, Factory 2-U Stores, Inc. and its related entities (“Factory 2-U”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, assigned Case No. 04-10111. The case was subsequently converted to a Chapter 7 and a Trustee was appointed to liquidate the assets of the estate for the benefit of creditors.
About Factory 2-U Stores, Inc.
Factory 2-U was a national discount retailer that sold clothing and household merchandise. The firm was known to sell excess merchandise from brands such as Converse, Gap, Levi’s, and Polo Sport at a discount. Factory 2-U operated over 240 stores in 14 states.
Factory 2-U also operated as Family Bargain Center and Capin Mercantile Corporation.
The former headquarters of Factory 2-U was located in San Diego, CA.
