Netherlands-based Metinvest filed for Chapter 15 protection with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the District of Delaware, case number 17-10130. The Company, which operates as an integrated steel and mining company in Ukraine, is represented by Joseph M. Barry of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor.
According to documents filed with the Court, Metinvest obtained relief from the High Court of Justice of England and Wales through a scheme of arrangement under part 26 of the English Companies Act 2006 in June 2016.
Metinvest B.V. operates as a subsidiary of System Capital Management Limited, and Metinvest initiated a previous Chapter 15 filing on January 13, 2016.
