Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced the expansion of its Corporate Performance Improvement group and bolstered its operational and supply chain expertise with the addition of seasoned professionals.
Brian Rayburn and Mark Uffhausen join as Managing Directors in the Houston office, and Jose Contreras joins as a Managing Director in the Dallas office. These appointments reflect A&M’s commitment to helping clients drive change to create value.
Rayburn brings 22 years of combined consulting and operational experience defining and executing corporate transformation programs with mid-market and large multinational E&P and oilfield service companies. He specializes in corporate-wide CAPEX, OPEX and SG&A cost takeout, asset improvement, corporate and field headcount optimization, location consolidations and supply chain operations. Rayburn earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
Contreras has 28 years of experience identifying and capturing operational improvement opportunities, as well as margin and performance improvement through operational redesign and technical enablement. Contreras earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from The University of Iowa and a master of business administration degree from the University of Tulsa.
Uffhausen, a recognized expert in sourcing and supply chain in the energy and utilities space, has 20 years of global performance improvement experience and in-depth cost savings, performance effectiveness and building transformation expertise. Prior to joining A&M, Uffhausen was a partner at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company) where he led the U.S. Upstream Energy Operations practice.
